It all started and continues with the Salone del Mobile at the International Fair that represents, with fashion, one of the important aspects of Made in Italy, aujourd’hui, le (MWD Milano Design Week). Over time, all those young designers who were not involved with the big furniture brands began to exhibit their creations, their prototypes, their projects and their installations in the popular neighborhood of Zona Tortona frequented by models, photographers, workers and artisans, so the garages, industrial and/or commercial spaces became their showcase.

The success for the enormous interest aroused was overwhelming: the municipality had to close all access to all types of vehicles due to the crowd of pedestrians. With the various editions that followed, other neighborhoods were also enveloped by this wind of novelty and creativity, even the most peripheral ones thanks also to the abnormal quantity of interventions: this year more than 800 events and since last season also locations outside the Municipality of Milan have begun to be involved.

Obviously, this did not go unnoticed by the marketing and advertising people, so the big fashion houses, car manufacturers, etc. rushed to participate with their events for example Armani, Audi, BMW, Gucci, Hermes, Missoni, Vuitton and YSL among others. What we present and what we will present are our heartfelt hits. Piero Biasion – pierobiasion@me.com
